My Dreams

I did this for the Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers today where Audrie had us take a visit to a pinterest page of Becca Feeken for our inspiration. I have been taking watercolour classes for a couple of months now, which is why my card is about going after your dreams. It all looks so easy, in real life it is not so easy. But, I soldier on .... thanks for having a peek.

Jolly Holly

Playing around yesterday and made this to send to Caring Hearts, again for a male resident and hopefully it will give a smile. The reindeer and sentiment are from Pink Petticoat called Jolly Reindeer. I coloured the Reindeer with Chameleon Markers and added Viva Decor Red Glitter Pen to his nose and Stickles to his hat and scarf and a touch of Christmas twine along with a few sequins - imagine that!!  The top panel is on foam strips. Thanks for having a peak.

I Believe and Snowing Christmas Tag

I made this card for the Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoaststampers that I am hosting this week. The challenge is to use Acetate somewhere on your card, or for your card. You can view the gallery here to see the beautiful creations. I made a double sided card with an acetate globe and my scene is inside the globe. I die cut my scene in American Crafts Glitter paper. I love the Triange Trees for this as they can be mirrored front and back. I added sequins for falling snow to both sides of the outside of the acetate, so everything is nice and tidy. The inside message side of the card has the same embossing folder used and where the acetate is on the front is cardstock with my Christmas Greeting. I am very happy with how it all turned out and I have someone in mind to give it to that will not require mailing as it is heavy.

Products Used: Frantic Stamper Snow Globe Base, Frantic Stamper Snow Globe Triange Trees, Frantic Stamper Snow Globe Snowman, Frantic Stamper Believe and Sizzix Snowflurries Embossing Folder, Sequins

I also made this Tag for my challenge at Splitcoaststampers. It is double sided with the scene inside. I used Dylusions Ink Spray on the back inside and painted the same ink around the edges. So fun to make and I think I will make a few more for Christmas.

Gift Delivery

I made this card for the Featured Stamper at splitcoaststampers, where we case a card the featured stamper has made to honour her. Festive Fun

I made this card as part of the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers and it has me giggling as I make it. I will include it with the cards I send to Caring Hearts as I think it would be fun for a male resident, and hopefully it will give a smile. The little penguins are part of the Frantic Stamper Set called Playful Penguins, which also come with the matching dies. There are 3 Penguins in the set and as I decorate the inside of my cards I used the third Penguin inside. I find it easier to cut my die first then stamp my image on he cut die. I styled the Penguins and attached on foam dots and I love the little tuffs on top of their heads and I could not cover them up, so I put the Santa Hat in only one of the Penguins flappers. The papers are from Pink Petticoat and I used doCraft Markers to colour the hat. Thanks for having a peak.

Joy Pears

Doing some Christmas cards to send to Caring Hearts. This image and papers are from Pink Petticoat. I coloured the Joy pear to match he paper and added gold leafing pen to the leaves, and then sequins!

Flying Bats

I made this for a friend who was delighted with it. The paper is a digital set from Summertime Designs called BOO-tiful Night, which I love and I think works perfectly with my Frantic Stamper Bat die. I die cut my bats and styled them so the wings have movement and added silver stickles to their eyes, and to me, that is exactly how they look!  Added the sentiment and some sequins to finish. A fun card to make.

White Noel

I really wanted to do my new Frantic Stamper Pinecone in white, so today was the day. Before starting my card, I styled the Pinecone then added glitter to the tips and left to dry.  I embossed the background panel using white embossing powder then added the frame and the Noel die which I cut using American Crafts Glitter paper and added the pinecones, ribbon and sequins to finish. Thanks for having a peek ...

Cheers

A lazy day making cards. I have had this stamp for a bit and this is the first time I have used it ... how does the time get away! I coloured the grapes with Chameleon Markers and die cut the sentiment and wine bottle from Bazzill cardstock.  I am hoping it is okay for a masculine birthday ... the sequins might finish that - but a card without sequins .... what can I say?  Thanks for having a look ...

Products: Frantic Stamper Large Grapes stamp, Frantic Stamper Wine Bottle and Glass (I used 2 glasses inside the card) and the sentiment comes with the Frantic Stamper Champagne Glass.

Poinsettia Greens

Another card for my collection of cards for the Caring Hearts card drive. I did this for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast. I like the idea of the poinsettia's done in the green colour. I heat embossed the images in silver embossing before colouring with Chameleon Markers. The poinsettia corner stamp is Stampendous and the sentiment is from Penny Black.

Many thanks

I did this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast today, where we had a visit to a Pinterest Board all about Shells. I picked this for my inpsiration, mostly because of the green colour. I saw this technique thanks to Loll Thompson on YouTube that showed alcohol inks used with water! So unusual that I had to try. A plastic container with cold water, deep enough to lay your paper in flat, and alcohol inks in various colours of your choice. You have to work fast I found, but the results are wonderful, and that is how the background paper design was done, as well as my shells. I did others which I will look forward to using in the coming weeks. Thank you for having a peek ... Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians.

Believe

I am thrilled to be a guest designer for Frantic Stamper for a few months. I made this Christmas card using some new Frantic Stamper dies. The background is embossed with my snow embossing folder. The top panel I cut a scalloped circle and added the Believe die, which is also on foam dots. I cut two of the Northern Star dies, one in the metallic and the other in glitter paper, styled and mounted on foam dots. And, some sequins and gems to finish. Thanks for having a peek.
Other products: Spellbinders Scallop Circles Small, Sizzix Snow Dots Embossing Folders, Metallic Cardstock, Glitter Cardstock.

I am also making Christmas cards for the Caring Hearts Card drive here in Canada. Caring Hearts collects and sends Christmas cards to those living in nursing homes in Canada, the US and Australia. I already give cards to some local nursing homes, but this is far reaching, which is wonderful. I think the elderly will love receiving handmade cards at Christmas.  Visit Caring Hearts for more information.

Autumn Moments

Playing with a leaf stamp and some Tim Holtz inks. I stamped the script stamp first in Antique Linen. Then inked my Hero Arts leaf stamp with the Wild Honey, Crushed Olive, Wild Honey and Fired Brick inks and spritzed with water before stamping. The smaller leaf is a Inkadinkado stamp. I then sponged around the edges with Spiced Marmelade. Added the sentiment, matting, twine and sequins to finish. I love these colours together IRL, so I am happy with my card. The sentiment stamp is from STAMPlorations called Noteworthy. Thanks for having a peek ...
